HYPREP HAS ORGANIZED A PROCUREMENT AND BUSINESS STRATEGY WORKSHOP FOR OVER 150 OGONI ENTREPRENEURS IN PORT HARCOURT

HYPREP has organized a Procurement and Business Strategy Workshop for over 150 Ogoni entrepreneurs in Port Harcourt.

Speaking at the opening of the 2-Day workshop, the Project Coordinator of HYPREP, Professor Nenibarini Zabbey, said the gesture was strategic as it aims to increase participation of Ogoni entrepreneurs, youth, women and the underserved populations in the HYPREP Project and other public entities as key players in the mainstream, expecting that this will have a positive ripple effect on businesses and the Ogoni economy in particular.

The PC added that “As we delve into the intricacies of procurement and business strategy, let us remember that the ultimate goal is to create a thriving ecosystem where local businesses interests can benefit and flourish from opportunities made available through HYPREP; where alternative livelihoods are created which discourage illegal refining, re-pollution, and other unwholesome acts”

Presentations were made by subject matter experts, including Mr Lesi Maol, MD/CEO of Giolee Integrated Services who shared his experience as an Ogoni businessman.

Participants commended HYPREP and the facilitator, PA-ED Multi-Link Consulting for the robust training.
