Yesterday, it was a dream come through for 5 Ogoni youths who got instant employment with DANA Air, during its recruitment hunt which was held in T-FAD Hotel and Resort, Wiiyaakara, Khana LGA, as a sustainability component of the Cabin Crew Training for 30 youths in the Crew Training Institute, Lagos, sponsored by HYPREP last year.

Speaking at the event, the Project Coordinator of HYPREP, Professor Nenibarini Zabbey said the event was a pivotal moment in the Project’s collective effort to create alternative livelihoods as it restores the traditional livelihoods of the Ogoni people, noting that the recruitment of cabin crew members would create pathways to empowerment, ignite dreams, and build futures.

Thirteen contestants participated in the recruitment hunt, while five made the final list. They are:

Meneyii King Barisua, Khana, Grace Wealth Agon-Ngbor, Tai, Domale Badom, Gokana, Nnyeomah Constance Nwagor, Eleme, and Miracle Nnutam, Tai.

The visibly elated beneficiaries commended HYPREP for the opportunity.
