MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT PLANT TREES IN OGONILAND, VISITS ONGOING CONSTRUCTION OF THE CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL RESTORATION AND A REMEDIATION SITE.

Yesterday, the Hon. Minister of State for Environment, Dr Ishaq Salako was at the Birabi Memorial Grammar School, Bori, Ogoniland to plant 10 of 60 economic trees in line with his pledge to do this across select states in the Six-geopolitical Zones of Nigeria. The gesture, he said will help improve the environment. Accompanied by Dr Mike Nwielaghi, Chairman Ogoni Trust Fund and Prof. Nenibarini Zabbey, HYPREP PC, the Hon. Minister also visited the Centre of Excellence for Environmental Restoration, Wiiyaakara, Khana, LGA and an ongoing remediation site in Ogale, Eleme.
