VOCATIONAL SKILL TRAINING ORIENTATION/HAND-OVER TO TRAINER EXERCISE FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH DISABILITY
In following with our commitment to fostering inclusivity in the Ogoni Cleanup Programme, today, the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) has commenced the training of 300 Ogoni Persons Living with Disabilities, in 5 skill sets, namely Fish Farming, Fashion and Designing, Photography, Shoe Making and Computer Basics.
At the orientation ceremony which was held in Bori, Khana LGA, Project Coordinator, Professor Nenibarini Zabbey said the gesture ‘shows that HYPREP is a responsible Project that keeps its promise, and remains committed to livelihood restoration and renewing hope through interventions of this nature’
In attendance were the Director, Technical Services, Professor Damian-Paul Aguiyi, Engr. Ehioze Igbinowanhia, Renaissance Africa Energy Company/JV Representative on the Project, Mrs Joseph Nzidee, Head Sustainable Livelihood, Representative of the Chief Security Officer (CSO), CSP Egga Kudu Egga, SA on Women and Youth, Barr. Stephanie Fiiwe, Dr Baridapdoo, Ngo, President, Ogoni Persons Living with Disabilities and the training consultants.
