The Project Coordinator, Prof. Nenibarini Zabbey joined the Honourable Minister of Environment to meet with several project stakeholders in Abuja. They met with the Managing Director of the Shell Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) and Country Chair of Shell Companies, Mr. Osagie Okunbor, to discuss strategies for strengthening the project and optimizing impact. The Project Coordinator and the Honourable Minister also met with the management of China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Ltd (CCECC), led by the Managing Director, Jacques Liao, to discuss sundry issues relating to quality and timely construction of the Centre of Excellence for Environmental Restoration, particularly community involvement and ownership and the welfare of the community workers on the project.
