HYPREP PC VISITS CABIN CREW TRAINEES, WITNESSES HANDS-ON SESSIONS
On Wednesday February 25th 2026, Professor Nenibarini Zabbey, Project Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP), together with some management staff of the Project, visited 19 trainees undergoing Aviation training as Cabin Crew at the Crew Training Institute, Lagos, witnessing the various hands-on/demonstrations, ranging from Aircraft simulation, Fire Fighting drills and Water Survival Exercise(Ditching).
Prof. Zabbey reiterated HYPREP’s commitment to prioritising human capacity development for youths of Ogoni through providing them with high-demand skill sets, hinting that more of these, including GIS & Remote sensing, Commercial Diving/Under Water welding, Full-Stack Development, Mud logging and Rope access, will commence in the coming weeks.
The Mechatronics training is ongoing for 100 Ogoni youths, while another 200 have rounded off training in Creative Arts and Seafaring respectively. HYPREP had earlier trained 30 youths in Aviation.
