A THREE-DAY WORKSHOP ON PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZED BY HYPREP FOR SOME OGONI GRADUATES AND UNDERGRADUATES IN PORT HARCOURT FROM TUESDAY, JUNE 11TH-13TH 2024.

The Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Remediation Project (HYPREP) is urging youths of Ogoni to make good use of its human capital development programmes which are aimed at providing sustainable alternative livelihoods for them and better positioning them for the demands of a highly competitive society.

Project Coordinator of HYPREP, Professor Nenibarini Zabbey gave this charge at a three-day workshop on Proposal Development organized by HYPREP for some Ogoni graduates and undergraduates in Port Harcourt from Tuesday, June 11th-13th 2024.

Prof Zabbey expressed HYPREP’s belief in the immense potential of the Ogoni youths and assured that the Project will continue to provide them with the necessary tools, knowledge, and skills to turn their potential into real opportunities for advancement. He noted that HYPREP will continue to support Ogoni youths to “answer their questions and provide the guidance needed”, adding that the skills acquired in the training will help them in their aspirations and professional endeavours as well as contribute to the broader development of Ogoniland and the nation.

While urging the participants to see the workshop as one that will help them develop skills for writing compelling proposals, the PC said it is a bridge between their innovative ideas and the resources needed to bring them to life.

The workshop was facilitated by Delasi Frank Amable, a seasoned Social Development, Organization, and System Practitioner, and covered several key areas including, Understanding the Essentials of Business Proposals, Grant Writing Techniques, Sourcing, Accessing Funds, Effective Strategies for Scholarship Applications, and Practical Sessions. The participants commended the Project Coordinator for prioritizing youth development and inclusivity in the HYPREP Project.

In over 2 months, HYPREP has strategically organized human capacity development and sustainable alternative livelihood programmes targeting Ogoni youths with a bid to position them for the demands of a highly competitive society.
