Further to the commitment of the Federal Government through HYPREP to the Provision of potable water to Ogoniland, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Environment, Ibrahim Yusufu, yesterday, commissioned the Project’s water scheme in Barako, Gokana LGA, assuring that all other Phase 1 water projects will be completed this year.
The Permenant Secretary also performed the ceremonial handover of sites to contractors of: Ogoni Power Project, Centre of Excellence for Environmental Restoration (COEER), 100 Bed Ogoni Specialist Hospital, Buan Cottage Hospital, 14 Water Projects and Shoreline remediation/Mangrove planting.
