Central Representative Advisory Committee
Composition and Functions of the Central Representative Advisory Committee (C.R.A.C) of Trustees
The Central Representative Advisory Committee (C.R.A.C) consist of the following;
1. The Project Co-ordinator as chairperson.
2. One representative each of:
- The state government of the impacted area where HYPREP is operational,
- The IOCs
- Civil Society Organization,
- Traditional Rulers,
- UNEP, and
3. 6 representatives of Ogoni Communities and any other impacted community for which a trust fund is established.
Function of the Central Representative Advisory Committee C.R.A.C
- Establish and maintain a primary contact between the HYPREP and the communities.
- Interface with all the stakeholders.
- Communicate progress of the project, including employment and business opportunities to the community.
- Prepare its communication or engagement budget under the supervision of the PCO
- Address grievances from the Communities.
- Meet on monthly basis, and
- Convene sub-committees as may be required and approved by the PCO.
