2026 HYPREP Skill Training Programme
The Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) is pleased to announce its 2026 Skill Acquisition Training Programme in the following areas:
- Animation & Graphic Design
- Software Development
- Full Stack Development
- Ship Fabrication & Blasting
- GIS Training & Crowd Mapping
- Cyber Security
- Rope Access
- Mud Logging
- Rigging
About the Programme
One of the core mandates of HYPREP is to restore the livelihoods of the Ogoni people. In line with this mandate, since 2020, HYPREP has successfully trained 5,147 Ogoni indigenes across various skill areas.
In the 2026 edition, HYPREP proposes to train 2,200 indigenes of Ogoni drawn from the four Local Government Areas:
Eleme, Gokana, Khana, and Tai.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be an indigene of Ogoni from any of the four LGAs (Eleme, Gokana, Khana, or Tai) with valid supporting documentation.
- Possess a minimum educational qualification (at least SSCE or equivalent or higher, depending on the training track).
- Demonstrate genuine interest and commitment to acquiring technical, professional and specialized skills.
- Be within the specified age range (typically 18–45 years).
- Not have benefited from previous HYPREP training programmes if still within the current active cycle.
